Randy Philip of the Northern Virginia BCCRandy Philip, Chair
With more than 18 years experience in serving small and mid-sized businesses, Randy Philip brings a broad understanding in designing and providing high quality insurance and benefits packages to employers, individuals and families. He is an expert in researching and designing benefits packages, selecting vendors, and conducting enrollment and training meetings.

Prior to launching The Washington Insurance Consulting Group, Mr. Philip was the Mid-Atlantic Regional Sales Manager for American Medical Security, where he led strategic planning to revise and improve the company’s product portfolio. His team provided services to companies with 100 employees or fewer.

During his 14 years at Humana Health, Mr. Philip provided health and dental insurance products and services to businesses across the country, serving in group sales and later managing small group sales and regional sales. As a Sales Manger, he increased membership in the Washington, DC Metro Area four-fold, and won recognition for his outstanding performance for three consecutive years.

Mr. Philip earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Hampton University.


Gaea L. Honeycutt, MPP, Vice Chair
President of G.L. Honeycutt Consulting, LLC and Weirding Word®, Gaea L. Honeycutt has more than 15 years experience in project and program management. Her firm provides strategic research, analysis, writing and editing, and design services to associations, nonprofits, authors and small to mid-size businesses across the country. Gaea Honeycutt of the Northern Virginia BCCShe specializes in helping businesses examine goals and identify resources to develop effective solutions, including tailored customer surveys, high impact copywriting, creative web design, and strategic analysis.

Ms. Honeycutt has served as Director of Media Relations for a county agency, Senior Research Associate for a national healthcare research project, Acting Director of an association, Secretary of the Corporation for a start-up community wealth enterprise, and Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations for a New England college. She began her career providing public relations, technical assistance, proofreading, and project management for a national publishing center, and conducting communications for a statewide child welfare initiative.

A freelancer and editor, she writes feature articles, edits fiction and nonfiction, and works on her own book projects and blog. Ms. Honeycutt is a member of the American Evaluation Association, National Coalition Black Women's Roundtable, the Women’s Information Network, Consulting Women and Romance Writers of America. She earned a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in American Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and a Bachelor of Arts from Bentley College.


Joan Davion, Treasurer

Ms. Davion is a member of Toast Masters and BNI Arlington NOW.


Keshaun Clark
With over 10 years of banking experience, Keshaun Clark is an Assistant Vice President for Virginia Commerce Bank, a full-service community bank that is one of the fastest growing banks in their market. Since 1988, they have opened twenty-seven branches, a mortgage loan office, an investment services department, and has grown to 2.6 billion in assets. Ms. Clark has managed their Del Ray office for nearly five years.

Virginia Commerce Bank has maintained a clear focus on making the difference in the financial lives of their customers by delivering exceptional service, every customer, every time. She serves on the Advisory Board of Project Discovery, and is a member of the Del Ray Business Association and BNI Alexandria The Great.


Angela Grantham, CMPS, CMP
Angela Grantham is a trusted mortgage adviser whose goal is to integrate her clients’ loans into their short- and long-term financial and investment plans. She and her team facilitate mortgage & equity management to minimize tax and interest expense, improve cash flow, and build wealth through increased liquidity, safety and rate of return. In addition to being a Certified Mortgage Planner and Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist, Ms. Grantham is a member of such professional organizations as Strategic Equity Group, Mortgage Coach and Mortgage Planner Mastermind Group. She is a CMPS for Prospect Mortgage, one of the largest residential mortgage lenders in the nation.

Ms. Grantham's 17 years in the mortgage industry, extensive training, networking skills, down-to-earth attitude, and commitment to continuing education have earned her the trust of many. In turn, she has created a thriving network of loyal clients and dedicated professionals that generate quality referral business, allowing her to focus resources on valued clients.

She is a mortgage professional for the Commonwealth of Virginia with Lenders Who Care (LWC), a national non-profit trade association committed to educating and counseling consumers on the affordable loan programs available in the state, along with also being a Certified VHDA Specialist/Trainer. As an affiliate of Prince William Association of Realtors (PWAR), Ms. Grantham serves on several committees.

She is an active member of her church where she devotes a lot of time helping others and giving back to the community. She is able to do so through organizations such Zonta, NVBCC, BNI, ABWA and WIIB. Ms. Grantham resides in Manassas, Virginia with her husband and son, where they work in their family business, Elite Vacation Homes and Travel, Inc.

Jacquelyn C. Peterson, MBA, MA, ACC
Jacquelyn Peterson is a full service Wedding Consultant, and Event Planner, and has over 25 years experience in the industry. Working with large and small organizations, and educational institutions, Ms. Peterson has been successful in developing and implementing fundraising campaigns, and employee workshops and retreats. She is a Certified Event Planner.

In 2004, Ms. Peterson became a travel agent, thus adding travel to the service options offered to her clients. In 2006, J C Peterson Consulting Travel was added to J C Peterson Consulting, as a subsidiary and independent travel agency offering host agency opportunities to other agents. In addition to being an Italy and Greece specialist, Ms.Peterson also specializes in groups and cruise vacations, and individual and family travel to Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. She is an Accredited Cruise Counselor, and is presently completing the credentials as a Luxury Travel Specialist.

Ms. Peterson has over 25 years teaching experience at the college level, having taught at Marymount University, Arlington, Virginia for 17 years. She is presently an Adjunct Professor of Business at Northern Virginia Community College, Annandale, Virginia. Married to a retired Marine, and the mother of five children, Ms. Peterson is a business owner, a mentor, an educator, who is very active in her church and community, and other service organizations. She holds an Master of Business Administration in Finance, and a Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychological Services.


Dana Winbush
Dana Winbush of the Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
Dana Winbush has been deeply engaged in the Northern Virginia business and non-profit communities since 
January 2001. In her business development role at C2 Portfolio, Inc. in Sterling, VA, she met cultivated over 150 local business owners. She also served on the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) Emerging Business Network Committee.

In 2005, Ms. Winbush joined Boxwood Technology in Herndon, VA, where she focuses on establishing and building relationships in the professional and trade association sector. Her clients include the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE) and National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). She currently serves on the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Membership Section Council.

Ms. Winbush is a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Arlington, VA, where she serves as the Assistant Director of the Christian Business Partners Ministry. She also volunteers in a program with Arlington Street People’s Assistance Network (A-SPAN). Ms. Winbush is a native of Nashville, TN, and a graduate of the Vanderbilt University.
